	Nickel- and Palladium-Free Master Alloys Developed as an alternative to standard nickel-based white gold jewelry, the new line of nickel- and palladium-free Proderma alloys for white gold use gallium as the main whitening element to obtain optimal white color. Offering low shrinkage porosity, the alloys are available in three formulations (within three categories on the Whiteness Index): a premium white 14k, an off-white 18k, and a standard white 18k. With an as-cast hardness of 165 HV, the 14k alloy has a casting temperature range of 800°C to 900°C (1,472°F to 1,652°F). The off-white 18k alloy offers an as-cast hardness of 105 HV and a casting temperature range of 830°C to 860°C (1,526°F to 1,580°F).
